Ermoupolis 2025 Seminar
The INFOSTRAG Group of the Laboratory of Industrial and Energy Economics (LIEE) of NTUA, the Chamber of Cyclades, and the Research Unit in Artificial Intelligence “Archimedes” of E.K. ATHENS organize the 20th annual Hermoupolis Seminar on the Information Society & Knowledge Economy during the period 10-13 July 2025. The Seminar is organized in cooperation with Eurobank, KAS Greece – Cyprus Foundation, Break Even Consulting, NTUA Technology Transfer Office and Open Technologies Organization – EELAK/ELLAK. The Seminar on the Information Society & Knowledge Economy has been held for a three-day period every July since 2006 as part of the Annual Hermoupolis Seminars organised by the Institute of Historical Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (IEEE) since 1984. This year marks the 20th anniversary of its inception and will be celebratory in nature.
The thematic modules of this year’s Seminar are as follows:
- Thursday 10/7, 18:30 – 21:30: Introductory Session – History of the Hermoupolis Seminars on the Information Society and the Knowledge Economy: 2006 – 2025
- Friday 11/7, 10:00 – 13:30: Challenges and perspectives of Artificial Intelligence: Education, Public Administration and the Productive Sector
- Friday 11/7, 18:00 – 21:30: Regional Policies and Insularity
- Saturday 12/7, 10:00 – 13:30: Technology Transfer – Linking Research to the Productive Fabric and Society
- Saturday 12/7, 18:00 – 21:00: Productive Reconstruction and Sustainable Development
- Sunday 13/7, 10:30 – 12:30: Seminar Conclusions: General Discussion
The Seminar will take place in the Event Hall of the Cyclades Chamber of Commerce but there will also be the possibility to participate remotely through the Webex platform. The Seminar will also be broadcast live via the LIEE/NTUA channel on YouTube.
Ermoupolis Seminar 2024: Artificial Intelligence, the challenges for Research and Education
The INFOSTRAG Team of the Laboratory of Industrial and Energy Economics (LIEE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the Cyclades Chamber of Commerce organized the 19th annual Ermoupolis Seminar on the Information Society & Knowledge Economy, held from July 12 to 14, 2024.The Seminar was co-organized with KAS Greece – Cyprus, the Open Technologies Organization – EELLAK, the company Break Even Consulting, the NTUA Technology Transfer Office, and the Friends of the Technical Culture Center of Ermoupolis.The Seminar on the Information Society & Knowledge Economy is held every July over three days since 2006, as part of the Annual Ermoupolis Seminars, a tradition initiated in 1984 by the Institute of Historical Researchof the National Hellenic Research Foundation (EIE).
