Emilia Protogerou is an Assistant Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering of NTUA and a member of the research team of the HSEO. She holds a degree in chemical engineering from NTUA and a PhD in “Industrial and Business Strategy”, also from NTUA. Her main activities include providing educational work, conducting primary and secondary research, monitoring and coordinating national and European projects, and participating in the organizing and scientific committee of conferences and workshops.
Her research interests focus primarily on the economics of innovation and technology with a particular emphasis on business strategy, innovation and technology management, entrepreneurship, and related public policies.
She has participated in a number of funded European and national projects and has gained experience in large-scale research including questionnaire design and data analysis using advanced statistical and econometric methods.
She has published her work in international journals such as Research Policy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Industrial and Corporate Change, Industry and Innovation, Journal of Technology Transfer, Science and Public Policy, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research, etc., as well as in edited volumes.
