Petros Dimas is an associate researcher and Ph.D. candidate at Laboratory of Industrial and Energy Economics (LIEE) NTUA, on the field of Industrial Policy and Competitiveness. He has a mixed background in engineering and economics, as he holds a diploma (MEng equivalent) in Chemical Engineering from NTUA and an MSc. with honors in Applied Economics and Finance from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). His research focuses on industrial economics, global value chains, economics of innovation and technological change, sustainability, and industrial and energy policy, with multiple relevant publications in international peer-reviewed journals (8) and scientific conferences (23). In his 4-year research career, Petros Dimas has participated in various national and EU-funded research projects, with significant experience in advanced statistical methods and tools, applied econometrics, and input-output analysis. He has also participated in multiple private-funded projects and techno-economic studies with project-based contracts (external engineering consultancy services), gaining significant expertise in the financial evaluation of industrial processes and products. Furthermore, he is a scientific associate of NTUA’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit (2017-onwards), a teaching assistant at NTUA’s School of Chemical Engineering (2018-onwards), and a course instructor at NTUA’s e-learning program (2021-onwards). He has previously served as a scientific associate of NTUA’s EPI.noo start-up incubator (2018-2019) and was also a member of the organizing committee of the 15th International Globelics Conference (2017).
