The Industrial and Energy Economics Laboratory (LIEE) of NTUA organized an event in which Christos Stylianides, European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, presented the rescEU initiative. This initiative, which has been characterized as one of the 20 EU achievements for the period 2014-2019, aims to strengthen the existing EU civil protection mechanism by upgrading the capacities for the prevention and timely response to natural and technological disasters, such as forest fires, major floods, and chemical, biological and nuclear accidents-incidents.

The event, which is part of the series of meetings and events of the NTUA’s EVEO on the theme: “Technology, Innovation and Development”, was held on Thursday, May 9, 2019, from 3-6 pm at the NTUA Multimedia Amphitheater, on the Zografou Polytechnic Campus.
