The start of this meeting was very positive, as a dialogue was opened between the Local Government executives and the companies of the ΣΕΚΕΕ, which develop innovative applications for the international market. The change of the existing logic of the custom development of special-purpose applications, which is time-consuming and inefficient, was discussed, with the model of using existing software where municipalities can use applications, share them, evaluate them. Also, the need to promote open data in practice was discussed so that the information created by the bodies can be reused and the services provided can be developed even further.
