Associate Professor Angelos Tsakanikas from NTUA delivered a speech at the seminar organized by the Hellenic Management Association (E.E.D.E.) on “Corporate Partnership between Public Administration & Private Initiative.”
The Industrial and Energy Economics Laboratory of NTUA participated with the speeches of Professors Danae Diakoulaki, Yannis Kalogirou and Angelos Tsakanikas in the event organized by the Hellenic Association of Banks in collaboration with Megaron Plus on September 29-30 at the Athens Concert Hall.
The theme of the event concerned the framework for shaping a new competitive environment for the Greek economy, with the participation of distinguished speakers who presented policy proposals.
The event was held following the publication of a collective volume of the EET (February 2014), in the writing of which Danae Diakoulaki, Yannis Kalogirou and Angelos Tsakanikas participated.

Professor Yiannis Kalogirou of NTUA participated as a panel speaker in the workshop organized by SEV in collaboration with the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE) and the Laboratory of Industrial and Energy Economics (LIEE) of NTUA. The event was titled “Productive Reconstruction with Innovation – A Modern Industrial Policy for Greece” and took place on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, in Athens.

On Monday, October 14, 2013, the presentation of the book THE SUCCESSION PROCESS IN FAMILY BUSINESSES (published by KERKYRA – economia PUBLISHING) by authors Asterios G. Kefalas and Christos E. Georgiou took place at the ECO ZONE multipurpose venue in Athens.
Speakers in the discussion were Nikos Loulis (President of Myloi Loulis S.A.), Yiannis Kalogirou (Professor of Technological Economics and Industrial Strategy at NTUA), Asterios G. Kefalas (Emeritus Professor of Management at Terry College of Business, The University of Georgia, USA), and Christos E. Georgiou (Ph.D., Director of Documentation and Studies at the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece – SBBE).
The discussion was moderated by Antonis D. Papagiannidis (Journalist, General Director of the economia Group).
Three-day International Conference of the National Documentation Centre (EKT) on Open Access
The National Documentation Centre (EKT) is organizing at the amphitheater of the National Research Foundation (October 16-18, 2013) a three-day International Conference titled “Open Access @ EKT – Developing Common European Policies for the Innovative Use of Public and Scientific Information,” the third in a series of international conferences focused on Open Access to scientific knowledge.
At the conference, Professor Giannis Kalogirou (EBEO/NTUA) will participate on Wednesday morning as the keynote speaker (“Optimizing the Use of Knowledge in Shaping Public Policies and Developing Business Activity: The Strategic Importance of Open Access and Open Data”) and also as the coordinator of the thematic session “Open Education and Open Research” (Wednesday afternoon).
