Participation of the LIEE in the 32nd annual EAEPE conference (Digital)

LIEE/NTUA successfully participated in the 32th Annual Conference of EAEPE (European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy) that was held online, from 06 to 08 of September 2020. The general theme of this year’s EAEPE Conference was: “The Evolution of Capitalist Structures: Uncertainty, Inequality, and Climate Crisis“.

The Emeritus Professor Yannis Caloghirou, the Associate Professor Aggelos Tsakanikas, the senior researchers Aimilia Protogerou and Ioanna Kastelli, the post-doc researcher Panagiotis Panagiotopoulos and the PhD Candidates George Siokas, Petros Dimas and Dimitris Stamopoulos participated with paper presentations as well as with a discussant and/or chairman role in the following four Sessions of two different Research Areas (E1. Participation of Professor Emeritus G. Kalogeros in the Ideas Circle Discussion on “Greece After the Pandemic”

For the fifth year, the IDEON CYCLUS organized its annual conference on the general theme “Greece After”. The conference “Greece After V” was held on 11-12 October 2021, at the Benaki Museum amphitheatre, with the central theme of the question: From crisis to normality or crisis as normality?

Participation of Prof. G. Kalogirou, Assoc. Prof. A. Tsakanikas and Dr. A. Protogerou in the IKY/EBEO Event: “Emerging Scientific and Technological Areas: Relationships with the New Needs of the Labor Market”

The State Scholarship Foundation (IKY) and the Laboratory of Industrial and Energy Economics organized the event on the theme: “Emerging Scientific and Technological Areas: Relationships with the New Needs of the Labor Market”, which took place on 22/1 at the National Research Foundation’s auditorium.

The keynote speaker of the event was George Washington University Professor Nikos Vonortas. The topic of the speech was: “Public Policy Challenges and Scientific Human Resource Dilemmas in the Knowledge Economy” and presented the global trends in employment and the way in which technological developments affect them.

As part of the event, a round table was organized on the topic “Overview of new scientific and technological trends and their role in the innovative ecosystem of the Knowledge Society” and was coordinated by Angelos Tsakanikas. The round table was attended by, among others, Emilia Protogerou, who spoke about the prospects and challenges faced by doctoral holders in their professional careers, and Yiannis Kalogirou, who referred to the importance of doctoral and postgraduate studies in general in the knowledge economy.

O Καθηγητής ΕΜΠ Γιάννης Καλογήρου συμμετείχε σε πάνελ με θέμα: “Θεσμικοί φορείς υποστήριξης επιχειρηματικότητας” που πραγματοποιήθηκε το Σάββατο 18/1/2020 στο πλαίσιο της ημερίδας με θέμα: “Ο ρόλος των θεσμών στη στήριξη και προώθηση της επιχειρηματικότητας στην Ελλάδα”. Μαζί του στο πάνελ συμμετείχαν εκπρόσωποι από την EBRD, το Υπουργείο Ανάπτυξης και Επενδύσεων, το Ελληνοαμερικανικό Επιμελητήριο, το Εθνικό Κέντρο Τεκμηρίωσης και την Τράπεζα της Ελλάδας με συντονιστή τον Δημοσιογράφο Tάσο Ζάχο.

Συμμετοχή του καθηγητή Γ. Καλογήρου στην ημερίδα του ΣΕΒΤ για την έρευνα και την καινοτομία ως πυλώνες ανάπτυξης της ελληνικής βιομηχανίας τροφίμων

Ο καθηγητής  Γ. Καλογήρου συμμετείχε στην ημερίδα του ΣΕΒΤ για την έρευνα και την καινοτομία  ως πυλώνες ανάπτυξης της ελληνικής βιομηχανίας τροφίμων.

 
Συγκεκριμένα συμμετείχε στο στρογγυλό τραπέζι “Xρηματοδοτικά εργαλεία και πρωτοβουλίες για την ενίσχυση των ερευνητικών δράσεων και την καινοτομία στο ελληνικό περιβάλλον”. Τη συζήτηση συντόνισε ο Επικ. καθηγητής Α.Τσακανίκας.
