Ermoupolis Seminar on the Information Society 2015
Due to recent developments, the Ermoupolis Seminar on the Information Society, which was scheduled to take place on 10-12 July 2015, has been postponed to September.
However, a Preliminary Seminar was held in Ermoupolis from 10-12 July, the program of which can be viewed here.
The Preliminary Seminar was held in Room A05 (instead of the PARTHENON room) located on the ground floor of the University of the Aegean (building of the old 1st Gymnasium of Syros).

The INFOSTRAG research group (www.infostrag.gr) of the Industrial and Energy Economics Laboratory of NTUA (www.liee.ntua.gr) will hold a Seminar on the Information Society / Knowledge Economy this year as part of the annual seminars organized by the Institute for Modern Hellenic Research of the National Research Foundation (INE/NHRF) in Ermoupolis, Syros.
The seminar will be held in the “Parthenon” Hall of the University of the Aegean (building of the old 1st Gymnasium of Syros).
The thematic sections have the following titles:
1) Research, Innovation and Development in Greece: Necessity or Luxury?
2) Innovative Entrepreneurship: Promising New Ventures (in English)
3) “Smart Cities”
4) “Is there and what role for the state in promoting technological and entrepreneurial development? The international and Greek experience” – Discussion on the occasion of the Greek edition of Mariana Mazzucato’s book “The Entrepreneurial State” by Kritiki Publications
5) Seminar Conclusions: General Discussion
