The INFOSTRAG research team of the Laboratory of Industrial and Energy Economics of NTUA once again successfully organized the Seminar on the Information Society / Knowledge Economy, as part of the annual seminar series hosted by the Institute of Modern Greek Studies of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (EIE) in Hermoupolis, Syros.
The seminar took place from Thursday, July 11 to Sunday, July 14, 2013, in the “Parthenon” Hall of the main building of the University of the Aegean and in the event hall of the Cyclades Chamber of Commerce.
The seminar was titled: “The Challenge of Emerging from the Crisis: The Potential Contribution of Information and Communication Technologies and Energy Innovations”
The INFOSTRAG Team organized, for the eighth consecutive year, a Scientific Seminar on the Information Society in Hermoupolis, Syros.
This year’s seminar was titled: “Information and Communication Technologies (ICT): A Valuable and Relatively Untapped Resource for the Development of the Greek Economy.”
It was held from the afternoon of Thursday, July 12 to the morning of Sunday, July 15, in the “Parthenon” Hall of the main building of the University of the Aegean (former 1st Gymnasium of Syros).

The 2011 Hermoupolis Seminar on the Information Society was themed:“Leveraging Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to Improve Government Operations and Exit the Crisis” and took place in the “Parthenon” Hall of the main building of the University of the Aegean (former 1st Gymnasium of Syros), from Thursday, July 7 to Sunday, July 10.
The 2010 Hermoupolis Seminar on the Information Society was themed: “Digital Municipality and Administrative Reform”
and was held at the University of the Aegean (Hall of the former 1st Gymnasium of Syros) from Friday, July 9 to Sunday, July 11.
The Scientific and Educational Foundation of the Cyclades (EMIK) organized, in the summer of 2009, for the twenty-fifth consecutive year, the Hermoupolis Seminars, from Sunday, July 5 to Sunday, July 12, in scientific and organizational collaboration with the Institute of Modern Greek Studies of the National Hellenic Research Foundation.
As part of the 2009 seminar series, the Group for the Technological, Economic, and Strategic Analysis of the Information Society (INFOSTRAG) organized a seminar titled: “The Utilization of ICT and Renewable Energy Sources for the Development of Island Regions and Remote Areas” which was held at the Industrial Museum of Hermoupolis from Thursday, July 9 to Sunday, July 12.
