Entrepreneurship, Networking and Competitiveness Indicators

The research project aims to contribute to the achievement of a series of objectives, by undertaking a multi-level analysis on a set of empirical data, covering research collaborations funded through FP7. At a macro level, the analysis starts from the study of the overall networks formed at the level of the program and thematic area. At a medium level, the analysis focuses on the 13 Greek regions and the networking achieved within and between them. At a micro level, the role of organizations and the links that connect these organizations is analyzed. Finally, it is noted that the aforementioned three levels of analysis are addressed in relation to the public policies that affect each level.

The study of the results of this project can contribute to:

  • the assessment of the impact of FPs at national level,
  • the detection of the most efficient structures that have been created,
  • the understanding of the research strategies of the organizations and the corresponding collaboration patterns,
  • the design of future FPs, through policy proposals for Europe.
  • to policy proposals at national level, for the design of a (complementary to FPs) national research policy.
