The “Entrepreneurship Challenge” event by Chemecon and EPI.noo was successfully completed

On Saturday, April 9, 2016, the independent and voluntary organization of students of the School of Chemical Engineering, NTUA, Chemecon, with the support of the Industrial and Energy Economics Laboratory of the School of Chemical Engineering, NTUA and KEMEL, the Volunteer Manager Center of Greece, successfully organized the workshop entitled “Entrepreneurship Challenge”. The Workshop was held at the EPI.noo hub and was attended by a total of 34 people, who were undergraduate, graduate students and doctoral candidates of the School of Chemical Engineering, NTUA.

The participants had the opportunity to learn from the experienced executives of KEMEL how to create a business model canvas and then to prepare themselves, in groups, a similar business model canvas for the case studies that were given to them. In this way, the participants experienced the experience of designing a business plan based on real case studies.

From the Volunteer Manager Center of Greece, the following participated: Dimitrios Paximadis (former CEO of OglivyOne), Ioannis Kotis (former President of Algida), Dimitrios Kalogeras (former CEO of Nexans) and Dionysios Spiliopoulos (former CEO of Schneider Electric).

NTUA Professor Giannis Kalogirou participated as a coach and evaluator of the participating teams, while he also awarded the first prize to the winning team. The members of the Industrial and Energy Economics laboratory also actively participated in the organization and implementation of this workshop.
