Participation of LIEE in the 13th FSDET
The presence of the Energy and Industrial Economics Laboratory at the 13th Student Conference of Administrative Science and Technology on the topic “Innovation and Modern Forms of Entrepreneurship”, which will be held on 12/5/2016, will be dynamic again this year.
Participants in detail:
- Session 4: Business Models and Practices on the topic “Determining Factors of the Knowledge Enterprise” by Nikolaos Kanellos and Evangelos Siokas and Zoe-Eleni Stathakis.
- Session 8: Strategy & Investment on the topic “The Mapping of the Policy and Strategies of Greek Businesses in European Funded Research Projects in the 7th Framework Program” by Georgios Siokas and Angelos Tsakanikas. Also on the topic of “The environment of new businesses (startup) in Greece: An empirical investigation” by Stavros Lambropoulos and Ioannis Kalogirou.
- Session 11: Health & Education on the topic of “Information and Communication Technologies in the Education Sector” by Evangelos Siokas, Zoi-Eleni Stathakis and Nikolaos Kanellos.
NTUA Professor Yiannis Kalogirou, NTUA Assistant Professor Angelos Tsakanikas and Dr. Emilia Protogerou presented the results of the European research project Cre8tv.eu at the final conference held in Manchester, England on 6, 7 and 8 April 2016. Specifically, they participated in the section “Entrepreneurs, New Entrants, Firm Growth and Industrial Dynamics in the CCIs” in the subsections “Identifying Actual and Nascent CCI Entrepreneurs, and their Characteristics” and “Entrepreneurial CCI Firms – the AEGIS Dataset”.
The European research project Cre8tv.eu – Unveiling creativity for innovation in Europe has been carried out for the last three years under the funding of the 7th Framework Programme. The project was composed of an interdisciplinary team of 11 participating institutions from some of Europe’s leading universities and research centers.
At the final conference, the researchers presented their results on creativity, design, and the creative and cultural industries, especially from an innovation perspective and an economic growth perspective, and also in a European policy-making framework.

The Industrial and Energy Economics Laboratory of NTUA participated with 3 posters in the conference organized by the Association of Greek Chemical Industries on Monday, June 17, 2016 at the National Research Foundation.
The Industrial and Energy Economics Laboratory will participate in the 4th EEEE Student Conference, co-organized by the Decision Systems and Management Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the Hellenic Operations Research Society (HORS), entitled “Operations Research: Opportunities and Challenges in the Crisis”, in Athens, 17-18 December 2015 at the Multimedia Rooms of the NTUA Central Library.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub of the Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens – INNOVATHENS and the Research and Entrepreneurship Interconnection Structure of NTUA-EPI.noo organized, on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 19:00, a discussion on the topic “The role of the state in technological and entrepreneurial development: Myths and realities”. The discussion took place on the occasion of the Greek edition of the book “The entrepreneurial state” by Marianna Mazzucato by KRITIKI Publications. Marianna Mazzucato is Professor of Economics of Innovation at the University of Sussex and a researcher at the SPRU (Science Policy Research Unit), the oldest research center in Europe dealing with policies for Research, Technology and Innovation. The following participated in the discussion:
