Dimitris Stamopoulos

Chemical Engineer (NTUA)

Dimitris Stamopoulos is a graduate of the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (2019). He is a research associate at the Laboratory of Industrial and Energy Economics of NTUA in a number of national and international research projects in the broader thematic area of ​​industrial policy, technological developments in industry and the utilization of resources and opportunities. At the same time, he provides auxiliary support to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses taught by the LIEE-NTUA team. Since October 2019, he has been a PhD candidate in the Laboratory of Industrial & Energy Economics in the area of ​​Analysis and Prediction of Technological Changes, with the title “Technological Forecasting as a Strategy for Business and Industrial Reorganization: The Case of Greece”.

For the duration of his PhD thesis, he has secured a scholarship from the Special Account of Research Funds (ELKE) of NTUA. His research interests revolve around Global Networks for the Exchange of Value and Dissemination of Knowledge, Intangible Assets, Economics of Innovation and Technological Change, and Industrial and Energy Policy, with relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals, international and national  scientific conferences and many articles in the Greek press.

In the context of his research activities he has been extensively involved in the use and development of software tools for Statistics, modeling through input-output models.
